When we talk about canine communication it’s important to remember that dogs have an innate, natural and biological communication system which they inherited from their ancestors. Have you ever just sat and watched dogs play and interact? Truly paid attention?

This may not look like much to the untrained eye but if you knew these dogs and their individual challenges you would think I must hate myself for deciding today I shall work all 3 at the same time. But the challenge is not for me it’s for them. We are training a state of mind. That state of mind must be zen. Do you have any idea how hard zen is for 3 young male high energy high drive dogs? We did this for an hour. Just sitting. Listening to the breeze. Being. Make sure you dedicate the time to shoot the breeze with your dog as part of your training routine.

Congratulations to the White family on their purchase of Viper! The Whites said they were looking for a family friendly protector to live with them on their property in Texas and after meeting several other prospects they chose Viper and who could blame them? He’s one of a kind as far as Malinois go. They wanted a dog who could go anywhere and do anything with their young active family and desired the added layer of safety knowing that he’s a fully trained personal protection dog. He is an invaluable asset and addition to their home. I did cry several times but they were happy tears. “I met Erin very randomly at a coffee shop about a month and a half ago. We ended up sitting there talking for 2 hours and it was amazing to get so much information. I booked an evaluation with her for the next day. I have a 8 month old GSD, who recently developed some serious behavioral and resource guarding behaviors after being attacked at a dog park(lesson learned). She recommended a 30 day board and train with bridging sessions to establish my leadership with him. Within the first few days, he was already a new dog. He was in great care, Erin sent me plenty of updates and pictures and was very easy to schedule with my hectic schedule this past month. The way I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am for her persevering my dog and me throughout all of this. She was very direct with me and what I needed to change to make him thrive under my care and that happened with her help! I couldn’t even walk my dog on a leash around my neighborhood without him pulling and becoming reactive, but now he focuses solely on me, respects me and most importantly protects me. Erin has really been my life saver and my sweet pups life savior. Can’t recommend her enough.”

Jasper finally found his perfect match! After being surrendered to us through his original training program we continued to work with him in order to get him through the Intermediate level of training to ensure he would stay in a permanent forever home.

This morning he started his new adventure with the most perfect loving family. Of course through our adoption process we went in depth with his new family on his high level of training skills and we will have one more session to conclude their education on how to properly communicate with and enrich Jasper’s life to the fullest.

My heart is so full. I’ve worked so hard to make sure he has the best second chance possible and it all paid off! Next up, his brother Cash. Stay tuned 💕🐾😊
