Does this mean our dogs never get treats or play with toys? Absolutely not.

We do a lot of in drive training here as well especially for dogs who are participating in dog sports it’s really important to work both drives. HOWEVER the foundation for OBEDIENCE is laid in an out of drive state.

I teach my dogs fun “party trick” or other specific non obedience related behaviors in an IN DRIVE state. But my out of drive foundations are for true obedience, healthy relationships and good behavior.

Oakley has been with us for a little while now and he is an awesome dog. He’s been learning a lot and experiencing so many new things. His parents were fearful to socialize him and rightfully so! If you don’t know how to properly socialize your puppy you might do more harm than good even with good intentions.

Luckily he’s been properly exposed to dogs, cats, people and more through his training program in an effort to prepare him for a TDI (therapy dog) test by time he reaches his first birthday! So far, he’s on the right track and I can’t wait to see him thrive in his potential career path. What an honor to facilitate his journey 🦮🫶🕺

Fun fact: we trained his sibling Levi earlier this year and she was also a very good girl who is now thriving back at home with her big brother Luca!
